This preset is a sample from our larger set of Fabulous Fades Lightroom Presets. This pack of Lightroom presets include presets for creating similar tilt-shift effects. Today we have a free Lightroom preset that will give your photos an elegant faded look. It would be so much more practical, and I’m sure many photographers and editors would rely on it for fast editing. You can add a caption or hastag to your media and tap on the Check mark in the top right corner to post your photo or video to your VSCO Profile. I just don’t understand why such a plugin has to exist in the first place, as there should be a similar feature in apps such as Lightroom or Capture One without having to use tricks. It’s just not practical when having a large batch to editĪll in all, it’s a great plugin that does just what it promises to do. But please remember that all Lightroom presets work differently because each photo is unique (light, color, etc.) You can make small adjustments and find perfect settings Use this preset as the basis for working with an image. All our presets are pre-tested on different images.

It would be great to be able to assign the plugin a keyboard shortcut to avoid having to go into Lightroom menus each time. This preset will donate a Premium Dark Fade look in your Photography.

In fact, I wonder why it’s not a default Lightroom feature.

You can use it without registering and paying for a license, but then you’ll be limited to Lightroom’s standard presets and your photos will be tagged with 'LR_TheFader.' Essentially, without buying a license, you’ll be in a demo mode to see if it can suit your workflow or not. Consider sorting them into folders on the Presets panel in the Develop module so that you can find them more quickly in The Fader. As you might have noticed, it really helps if you have your presets organized. Pulling the Opacity slider to the left will tone down the presets impact. It will only decrease the values of the preset making it a more subtle adjustment. You can adjust this slider until the preset feels just right. If you chose a black and white preset, don’t worry, The Fader won’t fade it to create a lightly saturated image.
